Dead Sea

Last year I started writing a novel, a tough six months. I created the artwork on the cover myself as I do now with all of my books I am writing. This was one of two covers I made and this cover is still one of my favourite covers I made.

Final outcome

I filled the layer blue, proceeded to add fibers, after this I added noise over the layer before adding guassian blur. Lastly I adjusted the levels of both fibers and noise until I was happy.

I then added texture to my text before copying the cover pattern over the text to, this was because it was difficult to see the texture on the yellow background.
